Anna Joy
Having spent the last 10 years teaching in UK classrooms, I have experience working with a huge range of children with varying levels of need. I’ve worked alongside an Autism Base, hearing and visual impairment teams and many other external agencies to help improve my practice for individual children. Children are not suited to a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
Since the pandemic, I have wanted to further hone my skills and have recently begun training with PTUK to become a Play Therapist, which will enable me to better meet the mental health needs of Worcestershire’s children.

Nikka Claassens
Pluralistic Counsellor (Children & Young People)
Nikka is a pluralistic counsellor in the final year of her BA (Hons) Counselling & Therapeutic Practice at the University of South Wales.
Her approach is relational and person-centred, creating a safe, trusting space where each child can be understood and supported as their authentic self.
She draws on a range of creative and evidence-based approaches, tailoring sessions to each young person’s preferences and goals. This flexible approach allows space for exploration, reflection, and practical problem-solving, always keeping the child’s voice, strengths, and pace at the centre of the process. Favourite tools: art materials, sand play, and toy miniatures. (probably humour and rapport)
